3 Paragraphs from The Sound of Thunder

A"It came on great oiled, resilient, striding legs. It towered thirty feet above half of the trees, a great evil god, folding its delicate watchmaker's claws close to its oily reptilian chest. Each lower leg was a piston, a thousand pounds of white bone, sunk in thick ropes of muscle, sheathed over in a gleam of pebbled skin like the mail of a terrible warrior. Each thigh was a ton of meat, ivory, and steel mesh. And from the great breathing cage of the upper body those two delicate arms dangled out front, arms with hands which might pick up and examine men like toys, while the snake neck coiled. And the head itself, a ton of sculptured stone, lifted easily upon the sky. Its mouth gaped, exposing a fence of teeth like daggers. Its eyes rolled, ostrich eggs, empty of all expression save hunger. It closed its mouth in a death grin. It ran, its pelvic bones crushing aside trees and bushes, its taloned feet clawing damp earth, leaving prints six inches deep wherever it settled its weight."
Imagery: sight and sound

The Tyrant Lizard raised itself. Its armored flesh glittered like a thousand green coins. The coins, crusted with slime, steamed. In the slime, tiny insects wriggled, so that the entire body seemed to twitch and undulate, even while the monster itself did not move. It exhaled. The stink of raw flesh blew down the wilderness.
Imagery: sight

The Monster, at the first motion, lunged forward with a terrible scream. It covered one hundred yards in six seconds. The rifles jerked up and blazed fire. A windstorm from the beast's mouth engulfed them in the stench of slime and old blood. The Monster roared, teeth glittering with sun.
The rifles cracked again, Their sound was lost in shriek and lizard thunder. The great level of the reptile's tail swung up, lashed sideways. Trees exploded in clouds of leaf and branch. The Monster twitched its jeweler's hands down to fondle at the men, to twist them in half, to crush them like berries, to cram them into its teeth and its screaming throat. Its boulderstone eyes leveled with the men. They saw themselves mirrored. They fired at the metallic eyelids and the blazing black iris, Like a stone idol, like a mountain avalanche, Tyrannosaurus fell.

Do you think Elle is the same like other magazines?

Nearly everyday we see magazines that talk about fashion and gossip about celebrities, but Elle is a little different. The Elle magazine is all about the celebrities wearing the fashion. Elle also talks about cooking, the daily life of the celebrities and new interesting news about fashion. Elle just announced that the Spring 2016 ready to wear collection by ChloĆ© is available to be seen. Some of the most common celebrities they write about are Jennifer Lawrence, Selena Gomez, Gigi Hadid... These are three examples of articles about them: Gigi Hadid wore a 24$ dress to shop at Chanel, 1 girl, 3 styles: Jennifer Lawrence and Selena Gomez "I've been through chemotherapy". As I said Elle mostly talks about the celebrities wearing the fashion but that doesn't mean that it doesn't include other information. Take the last one for example, it tells us what the famous and amazing singer/actor Selena Gomez has been through and not only about what she was wearing. To sum it up, the Elle is a great magazine for people who want to know about fashion and maybe even learn something new about the celebrities.

Migration Paragraph
Why are they moving to America?
Through out the years, many countries had wars, natural disasters... from which they wanted to run away and they would usually end up in the United States of America. All though it might have been a tough journey, some people have made it and others stayed in countries near by which were still safer. Over the the years, about 118 countries have come to America and have spread everywhere in the country. For example 11,635,995 people from Mexico, 1,736,314 from China and 1,654,272 from India have migrated to America over the past few years. All three countries had come from some disaster back from their land. Also another reason could be that they wanted to get out of their country to get some money for their families. This was all because America is one of the richest countries, with Canada. This made the people want to go there, so when they got a job they would get paid well, but did they always get paid?

Pancake Paragraph
Do you like Pancakes? Would you say they are the best only in America?
Pancakes are an delicious dessert made all over the world. It is one of the most common as well. Made with different types of syrups and jams which makes then unique, and the most known all around the globe is the "Nutella Pancakes". These are pancakes with Nutella in between each layer. One thing that most people talk about now a days in how the pancakes are better in North America than anywhere in the world. This is because the pancakes are cooked in bacon fat, they are the best with maple syrup and between every layer they put butter. They are cooked in bacon fat because it gives them more flavor and a scent of bacon. Butter in between the layers makes the pancakes soft and moist and not dry cuz its unpleasant to eat them like that. The maple syrup gives them incredible taste and stickiness. The stickiness also helps the pancakes stay in position. Also when you use the left over bacon fat, your not waisting it and throwing it in the bin, your reusing it for another tasty meal. To sum it up, the pancakes in North America are incredible, but is that what you think too?
Sports Day Paragraph
Every once in a year there is a special event that happens in nearly every school around the world, Sports Day. Sports Day is when all the students in their school have a day to do sports and have fun. They each take part in at least 4 different sports. There were good and bad things about this year in BISB. One of the best parts of it was that there was no school, no uniforms and no homework. This was a great way to let the students relax and have a day off from all the stress during school hours. The weather wasn't the best thought, it was very cloudy and cold and this wasn't good for the students because they had lots of activities which caused them to sweat and since the weather was bad they could have gotten sick. Also some people even complained about the food they were given. Some said that the food was out of date or had an awful taste to it. There was lots of confusion about the events which led to a situation that caused children to miss their turns in the games as well. Many students only did about 2 sports while some did 6 and some have done absolutely nothing.
